Safe, secure AI
BITS Group is security led, and that doesn't change when AI is involved. Our approach is aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. We support you to keep your data inside your own Microsoft 365 or cloud tenant wherever possible, we consider UK GDPR from the first workshop, and we keep a person in the loop for decisions that affect people.

What AI can and can't do
- AI can get things wrong, including stating something false with confidence. We design every solution on the basis that its output needs checking.
- Where an assistant drafts something or recommends an action, a named person on your team reviews it before it affects a customer, pupil, service user or member of staff.
- Anything sensitive, or any decision about a person, is routed to a human rather than answered automatically.
- We agree with you which tasks AI does and which it doesn't, and write that into your AI use policy.
We can also draft an AI use policy your board or trustees can sign off, so your team knows what is and isn't safe to do with AI.
