Privacy notice

This notice explains how personal data is used when you visit bitssolutions.co.uk or send us an enquiry through it.

Who we are

BITS Group Ltd, trading as BITS Solutions, is the controller of your personal data. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 10013364, with our registered office at 86 to 90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. Our ICO registration number is 00015946127.

Contact us about your data at info@bitssolutions.co.uk or on 0203 011 1190.

What we collect and why

When you use the contact form we collect:

  • your name and email address (required)
  • your phone number, organisation name and the service you are interested in (optional)
  • the message you write

We use this to reply to your enquiry and, if you want one, to arrange a free discovery call. We do not use it to make automated decisions about you.

Cloudflare Turnstile checks the form for bots. It runs only on the contact page. Our cookie policy explains this and the other technical services on the site.

Our lawful basis

We rely on legitimate interests (responding to people who contact us about our services) and on taking steps at your request before entering a contract. You are not required to contact us.

Who receives your data

These providers process your data on our behalf under contract:

  • Supabase, which hosts the BITS Group database where enquiries are stored
  • SMTP2GO, which delivers the email notification of your enquiry to our team
  • Cloudflare, which runs the Turnstile bot check
  • Microsoft Azure, which hosts this website

Enquiries from this site are stored in the same database as enquiries to BITS Group, so BITS Group colleagues may see them. Some of these providers are based outside the UK or may process data outside it. Contact us if you want details of the safeguards in place.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for 12 months after our last contact with you, then delete it. If you become a customer, we keep your details under our customer records instead.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your personal data
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete
  • delete your data
  • restrict how we use it
  • stop using it where we rely on legitimate interests
  • give you your data in a portable format, where this applies

Email info@bitssolutions.co.uk and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
